Traction Control Q

The 99 i just picked up dosen't have traction control, however it does have a dummy plug on the back of the shifter bezel next to the lighter. Is this the connector for traction control? If so does it run all the way to the ECU?

About the only way to know for sure is to pop the shifter bezel off. |

I removed the bezel and there is a connector there connected to a dumy plug, would that be the traction control connector?

I have a 99 V6 and don't have anything except two "coin holders" that are a bitch to keep clean.

if you dont have traction control just adding the plug wont give it to you. You would need more I do believe.

traction control is a total waste of money unless you live up north, the whole reason it came into existence. I hate it.
The other day I was going down the road in 3rd fixing to merge so I accelerated a bit and BAM traction control came on slowed my butt down ... pissed me off.

I am doing a swap and 01 gt has Traction control and ABS. I would like to swap everything over. Also i am planning on moving either to Iceland or Germany so ABS and traction control would be nice.

It's especially helpful if you have a V6 and don't have a limited slip differential.

OK, say i don't hook it up, will it always be on? Will I have to disable it some how. Is there a procedure to diable it?
