Got a few ?s about 18 saleen rims

I got a buddy here in town that has 2 chrome 18 inch saleen rims and i was just seeing how much it usally cost to redipp these rims?

Also they are the real saleen and is there any diff between the after market saleen rims other than the saleen stamp on these? and am i better off just getttin two after market rims bc when i redipp these i think the stamps will rub off not sure? but i think so.

One more thing my gf has a 01 mustang and the pass mirror came off an need to know how hard this process is to replace and what steps i neeed to take to do this? thanks...

for the rims I would not pay to have them redipped, its gonna wind up as much as the rims are. I would buy aftermarket saleen wheels, eagle brand rims are known to have balancing issues so I would steer clear of their rims. AFS is a really good company but I do not know if they make saleen rims.

MAKE SURE you run a 275/35/18 tires on those 18x9 rims!!!! NO narrower than 265. And if the back are 10 inches go at least 305 wide (or as close as you can to keep the sidewall the right height)

The side mirror is held in place with 3 bolts, you have to remove the door panel I believe to do it. The door panel pops out on the bottom (push pins) then slides upward (out of some little catches) and then pops out, you will have to remove the bezel on the door handle and guide the handle though the hole as well as the panel comes off. Then the little triangle thing should come off, after that just unbolt/bolt back up the mirror. You can get 03 cobra mirrors for 99-04 mustangs off ebay for 150 bucks a set (then just paint them) and they look 100000x better than oem (just an fyi)

ok thanks for the information man. is there a place where i can get these saleen rims for a pretty good price other than paying like 1300 for just the rims that are real.

about mirrior i guess i should have told you all that she has the mach 460 system you think that would change anything?

not to much, the speaker may have to come off first but im not 100% sure~

the only maker I know if is Eagle but... like said they have had crappy results maybe someone will post with another maker.

Hey Josh, call me and I'll pull the old mirror off for ya and put a new one on or whatever. It's not too complicated with the 460 system, just takes a few extra steps.

Yea.......Wheel Replicas makes em, they look exactly like saleens, I still have to take a good pic, the day after I put mine on the car, we got 4 inches of snow GG, but it melted in a day and a half soo, if I beat home rush hour ill get some pictures.
