Heres the deal, finally talked to the parent about buying "someones" GT and depending what i can get for my car i will take out the loan for the rest, now to the pro's and cons
V6
Lower insurance
Better MPG
32000 miles
don't pay a thing for it(thanks dad)
SLOW
Car still has value and in a couple years that will diminish after a while
V8
Higher insurance
dropped MPG
92000 miles(mostly highway)
have to pay everything
FAST!
i really want the GT, but with the milage and all.....
i drive 30 miles each way to work 5 days per week
opinions?

Keep the six. Gas is gonna be killer this summer.
And theres no such thing as highway miles. Miles are miles. There's only one odometer.

Just hold off till you hit the magic age of 24 and insurance won't be a problem.

It just depends on how important having a fast(er) car is to you. What it comes down to is whether or not the difference in speed (and maybe sound) are worth all the extra money it will cost you. If there are other things you had rather spend your money on, then don't do it.

Its an ever uphill battle. The GT is nice but once you drive it a bit you will see thats its not nearly as fast as you thought and you will want more and more. I would save up if it was me until I had enough money to get something that doesnt have nearly 100k miles on it. GT's are pretty cheap heck even Mach1's are getting cheap. Sure it sucks.... but stick with what you have for now, save all you can, and before you know it you will have a good bit saved toward something in the end you will love MUCH more than a high milage GT.

im with you tbird...i bought a bronco with 120k, bought the ranger with about 114k, bout to buy a tahoe with 100k. nothing wrong with buying a higher mileage vehicle. not all of us can afford a brand new or near new vehicle.
