Well I got some rock lights from Beerman over at FSB for a good price. 6 lights, fuses, relays, switches, and switch box for 60 bucks.
they came in today so i started mounting them up
here is what i started with.

first one i mounted on the drivers front frame rail tucked up by the bumper facing front of tire

then did the pass side the same

for the rear, is where i was personally having trouble decinding on where to put it. with no tires on in the rear, i wasnt sure where i could put it without it getting smashed. so i mocked up my rear tires in place and messed around a bit till i found a sutible spot.

figure with the way i mounted the front they will help a spotter better then me, so when i saw what damon did, i think ill do that to help illuminate the backside of the front tires better.
now i just need some lenth of wire and someone who is good with wiring lights up to finish it. I think i am going to mount the switches where the radio used to be. bout the only good location from what i see.

i cant tell what you are trying to get at with that comment...
for an explenation, rock lights is just the term coined for where they are mounted. Lights up the area around your tires for night wheelin. I.E. you and the spotter can see the area around your tires to better pick a line and see whats going on. Also they are good for when you need to work on the rig at night. Say you break on a trail, flip on the lights and you can see what you are doing without holding a flashlight. and other reasons...your headlights/grill guard lights arent very spotter friendly

looks good man, on our fire trucks we have lights unfront and behind the front tires and 2 rear spot lights in the rear that were put on to help us back up or turn but we leave them on all the time in the dark cause it looks so cool and we can see more ur rig looks good, maybe put some guards over the glass so when u smack a rock it wont take ur light out.

might have to come up with some kind of guard. not very worried about those ones though. They lens is very solid and think, and the casing is a rubber casing. plus being in front of the tires and tucked up in the front bumper/wheel wells they are pretty well protected
i have two more lights im going to mount underneath the body near the doors that will have a lot less protection that i want to make some kind of guard for
