Tint does have it's problems...
Have a link to an S281 wing for your year?

A. I will probably stay legal or close to legal
B. With the stereo and rear top mount Infinity speakers I think tint will be help avoid unneccessary attention to my stereo equipment.
C. Like Nick I also like my women dark???? MUHAHHAHAHAHAA
D. I do like the S-281 spoiler but the tint is calling my name

I think we'll get along very well if you get that job and move to Huntsville.
I like the tint because it keeps what I have inside my car hard to see.

I enjoy the tint in the summer time when it's in the 90's. It's like having permanant sun glasses on. However it does make a little bit harder to see at night on roads without street lights. but my tint is as dark as a limo.

Tint Looks Awesome on mustangs it gives it a meaner look. I had 5% on both of mine. If I dont want anyone to see me I can just roll up my window hahaha. Trust me Getting pulled over enough makes you decide otherwise. I ended up leaving the back glass and the two small side windows 5% and I stripped the rest and got them legal. The reason I did that is because the meter the cops use to read tint slides over the glass on the doors and really there isnt a way for them to check the back glass or the two small ones.

I've been pulled over for reasons other than tint 3x with illegal tint, and had no problem.
Then I've been pulled over for tint and gotten a ticket.

Tint is just an excuse to not keep your windows clean.
Seriously though, I wouldn't have tint because around here the legal tint (32%) isn't dark enough to be worth having. And I have indeed been ticketed for illegal tint that was on my car when I first bought it. Cost me $25 and I had to remove the tint. The state troopers around here love to pull people over for no reason other than to give them a ticket for illegal tent. The day I went to court there was probably at least 15 of us.

You shouldn't have had to pay the ticket AND remove the tint...

If I didn't remove the ticket I would have had to pay another $100 for court costs. I saved $100 by removing it.

OR, you could have just removed the tint and had the officer sign off on the ticket.

No. Here's how it went down.
I was driving down the road. I got pulled over. I was given a ticket for window tint, nothing else. Apparently window tint alone is plenty of reason to pull someone over when you are an Alabama State Trooper going through a mid-life crisis because you never got laid in high school. It's a $25 fee. Court costs are $125. So at this point, if I just go pay the ticket, it would be $125. I decided to go to court instead to see what I could do.
I didn't want to get another ticket for it again. The same state trooper used to always sit in the same spot, and I had to drive by him twice a day. Plus the tint was old and turning "purplish". So I removed it.
Fast forward to court date. As soon as the proceedings start, the judge calls about 15 of us to the front. All of us were there for the same reason. She asks us if we had removed the tint. We all say yes. We go outside. The officer (yeah, it was the same guy for all of us) who wrote the ticket inspects each vehicle to see if it was removed. We go back inside and pay the $25 fee and go home.
If I would have left it on there, it would have cost me $25. I didn't know the officer, and didn't really care to have anything to do with him since he is obviously a complete ass for writing tint tickets in the first place. So I didn't try to remove it and get him to sign it off.
And that is the story of how I lost all respect for Alabama State Troopers.

Alright, here's how mine went down.
I was going back to work from a lunch break, had my windwos HALF WAY DOWN. I got pulled over, he called the fucking calvary for a damn tint stop (3 cop cars), told me that he wouldn't have pulled me over just for my tint, but my license plate frame "slightly conceals the year [my] tag expires."
I asked if the stickers were not color coded (they are) and asked if I could get out of the car. I did, went to his car, crouched down to his head height when he was driving, and clearly saw the 06 on the sticker. Whatever.
Then he tells me that he doesn't think my tint is too dark, but he's going to test it anyways. It obviously is too dark, he just doesn't want to say that for some reason. He writes the ticket.
I wait until the day before the court date, strip my own tint, go to the police station, find that cop, get him to look at my car, write off the ticket. I go into the courthouse, go to the court office place, show them the written off ticket, go home. No more problems.
I also told the cop as he was writing off the ticket that I was going straight to the tint shop as soon as he was done. He told me he'd write me another ticket, but I don't care, because I don't even live there anymore.
Didn't cost me anything more than retinting the side windows.

They didn't use to be. I had 2 friends that were Troopers and they were most professional. One was killed by a semi when it slammed into his car while he was at a interstate construction site the other died in a freak parachute accident he was also a member of Delta Force
