I didnt know where to put this, as it can be useful for an 79+ mustang, so I just threw it here. But anyway...
Just looking through my H&R catalogue and saw that they make Camber correction kits for 37.50 for the pair. Theyre a couple bolts that replace the top strut bolt where it connects to the control arm. One side of the bolt has an area that bulges out from the bolt shaft and can correct camber from 0-3*... thats a pretty significant amount of camber correction for under 40 bucks right there, and the installation would be very easy. If anyones interested, the part number that youll need for them is:
Part # TC116
Suggested retail: 37.50
I even took it upon myself to scan the info from the magazine so you can read a little more on it.

From what it looks like, yeah.
Id assume youd install them to give you the full extra 3 degrees of camber, then just have your stock plates adjusted, and they should be able to get it right for ya.

it works but the best way is cc plates.

Hmm... I wonder if it could be used along with C/C plates for more adjustment...
It seems like alignment shops have a hard time getting mine exactly where I want it even with C/C plates. I won't even get in to how hard of a time they have with the adjustable tie-rod ends. |

Most likely..........I've been doing this trick for years...........Just go to a hardware store and buy some grade 8 bolts.........Alot cheaper than a 40 dollar kit......... |

They don't know how to adjust bump steer..............Find a place that specializes in alignments. |

Actually, they couldn't even figure out how to adjust the toe on it. I finally took it somewhere and got it aligned but they said that they "couldn't straighten the steering wheel". This was an actual shop that specializes in alignments too. It's just that the alignment shops we have around here suck.
I know how to straighten the steering wheel myself (while keeping the same toe setting), but I just haven't felt like messing with it. I need to make some measuring devices and just start doing my own alignments. |
