1/4 scoops mock up

well they came in saturday morning. i worked on them all of saturday and some of sunday, getting them all nice and dandy. had to add a bit of material, even after swapping the weather stripping and foam spacers over, they still sat 1/4" lower than the upper window louver trim.

it goes in for paint saturday. theyre painting every kit piece inside and out, the body seperate, so when you get under the car, the whole kit is silver, just like it would be if it came that way. theyre installing everything too. only thing ill be putting back on is the grilles.

pics are decent due to using the SLVR, the digital had no batts.

looks good man, you have side exhaust right ? you definitely need to do something about those cuttouts in the rear bumper

and yeah, it has side exhaust ready for the skirts and tips to be welded. the pipes come right to the side where the tips will be and they have a turndown on them for now. after its painted, the guy said its a freebie to weld the tips in.

and blind spot is correct. itll be like driving a convertible again, though this time in the summer time that blind spot will still be there. oh well, a small sacrafice, though i doubt ill be parking anywhere but up front anywhere i go.

the only thing I dont like abou those is the right angle they make where they meet the above door peice, just looks odd.

youre talking about that inside lip under the upper trim where theres that little gap? thats all me, i took off a wee bit more than needed, the DA sander, once you start, it just digs in and doesnt want to let up. if i have time tomorrow maybe ill fill it in.

the painted peice that goes above the window's on your car it goes all the way down by the windshield as well. When it meets those panels it creates a 90 degree angle, if you look at the 05+ its a slightly rounded line right there. The eyes catch that angle, not much you can do about it though.

ah i see what youre talking about now. yeah, nothing i could even do about it unless i were to take that whole trim piece off and mold both together and add a curve where they both join. i bet that trim piece is a pita to remove though.

the problem would be if you rounded it the window would hit it when you opened the door.
