My main likes:
- Ease of repair
- Ease of modification
- Fairly cheap aftermarket
- BROAD/Flat torque curve..
- Reliability!!
- How it sounds with flowmasters, a mild cam and an X pipe
My main dislikes
- The weak T5 bolted to it
- The design of the oil pan and K member (have to basically pull the engine to drop the oil pan
I didn't go into much detail with my list but feel free to elaborate on your ideas.. I'm just curious to see why everyone loves their 5.0s..

It's fast.
It's lightweight.
It brakes well.
It handles well.
It's extremely easy to work on.
I know absolutely everything that's on the car.
It (in my humble opinion) looks good.
It (once again, in my humble opinion) sounds freakin' awesome.
I've never had any real mechanical problems out of it.
It's just a 5.0L fox body. What more could you want?

I spend $40 twice a week to fill the buick with premium my mustang is so much more fun to drive.. it costs $30 every 2 weeks to fill (though I don't drive it as much..) its more than worth it ...

Same as above except, I still have the T5 in mine with no issues.I can also drop the oil pan without pulling the engine..............Tubular K member makes this easy. T5's will take a beating if they aren't powershifted and are properly set up.

basically believe all the positives monte listed.
dislikes:
poor design for the crank (i.e. 2 bolt mains) lets the crank wiggle a little bit causing the rear main to die quicker...overly common problem.
needing to buy new 1/4 windows to fix the dry rotted molding unless they are refinished

Eh... nothing major. I was working on my speakers and re-did the wiring on them. The guy I had install them didn't do it exactly how I wanted. It's just a 4-channel amp pushing two 6x7s in the back and two 6-1/2s in the doors with the 3-1/2s in the dash running off the CD player amp. Nothing special.
But anyway, my interior is held together very poorly, especially in the back hatch area. So I can't turn up the bass at all without getting extremely annoying vibrating sounds. I guess that's what I get for buying a drag car whose interior was originally torn to pieces.
BTW, all the sound deadening was taken out of the car and there were holes cut for the roll cage out of the interior panel just under the rear speakers, so I'm sure all that doesn't help matters.
