Does anybody have pic's of the stock hoodscoops without the plastic mesh insert? I kinda want the Mach 1 grill look on the hood scoop.

Are you talking about the hood scoop that the GT's come with or the stock V6 hood that has the little inset grill?

it won't work... it'll look ugly... trust me. Those black things cover up a flat peice that would look pretty ugly.

it looks funky up under there but you can get inserts or make your own to cover the honey comb crap.

There's also the effect of wind on that. It's bad enough on those hood scoops as it is, but with no air dam at the front of the scoop, it's gonna do nothin but catch wind, and try it's damnedest to fly off your hood, probably resulting in stress fractures in the fiberglass on the hood, a lost hood scoop, some ugly holes, and probably a fucked up windshield.

The '03 kinda had a ram air thing cause the grille had holes in them.
If you want Mach 1, just buy the ram air scoop and hood.
