Hey guys, I already got pretty much a true dual custom setup, modified magnaflow cat-back and they shoved in an H pipe for some reason. I got high flows on the 2 rear cats and kept the pre-cats. I was wondering if LT's would be worth the investment. Isn't most of my low end torque loss from moving from a Y pipe to true dual format? Right now I'm just looking into a nicer rumbly sound with the added gains to go with; no I can't afford a cam or power pack right now.

I wouldn't recommend long tubes without engine mods, unless you really plan on getting into the engine later on. Shorties will give you a better gain.

LT's are a nice investment, don't get shorties... You should see 'some' increase, and a definite change in exhaust note. pick up some MIL eliminators while you're at it... also, as far as the lost low end torque, it depends on how "free flowing" your exhaust is. I had 2.5" tubing, and no mufflers, so I definitely lost too much back pressure... but it depends on your set up, but yeah, down low, going to duals will cost you 'some' low end... until you mod to accomidate for it.

Damn.. why is my sig not showing up... here's my current mods:
Performance:25% ASP UDP, Short-Ram K&N, Magnaflow Cat-back, Magnaflow High-flows, custom H pipe, SCT xcal2, 3.73 gears, t-lok, steeda T5 short throw, Al. Driveshaft, 3/8 Manifold Spacer, K&N FIPK Gen II, steeda clutch adjustor kit.
Appearance: Tint, 17" black bullits, Shorty Antenna, Bumper Inserts, 10 sub" system, hardwired radar detector, GT clear fog lights, GT Rear bumper
Coming soon: 6x9 Kicker DS693 3 ways.
My exhaust is pretty much 2.5" all the way back from the 2ndary cats. I mean, if low end torque loss is already pretty much dropped as much as it'll go (significantly) with the 2.5" setup instead of the 2.25"'s, wouldn't he LT's be a smarter choice for more midrange to high end power? After my better torque runs out, some of these imports tend to catch up and stay with me after 60mph.

that's a nice list of mods... and yeah, LT's would look nice on that list. As far as the imports coming from behind... I don't know if LT's alone would be enough to help over come that... they aren't the greatest bang for the buck mod... but you already have the gears.
