All you need is a kit of r-134a from wal-mart. It comes with a valve dealio that you hook up to your lines.

Well I bought one of those kits... and put the gauge on to read the pressure... and it was in the warning area of the gauge... did I check the wrong one? Its the only service port I could find on the car for the A/C on the line that goes from the A/C Compressor to the evaporator thing.
If it is in the warning area does that mean the A/C compressor is bad?

I think there is a low pressue and a high pressure side. You want the service port by the accumulator/dehydrator thingy(love the techincal jargon)torwards the back of the engine bay on the pass side, by the shock tower. This is on a 01 gt though, yours maybe different.

Well maybe you're compressor is not getting electricity. Look on the from of your AC compressor, you should notice a little triangle thing on the front. Turn on your ACA and it should engage the clutch and spin the triangle thing. does it?

Brent, here is a pic. also: "11. Back off the valve handle on the charging kit and screw the kit onto the refrigerant can, making sure that the o-ring or rubber seal insdie the threaded portion of the kit is in place. WARNING: Wear protective eye wear when dealing with pressurized refrigerant cans.
12.remove the dust capfrom the low-side charging port and attach the quick-connect fitting on the kit hose WARNING: DO NOT hook the charging kit hose to the system high side! (now cliff notes) : turn the car on, let it warm up to normal, turn AC on, fill with refrigerant never add more then 2 cans, let the 2 sides = the same temp, use a wet hot towel around the can to help prevent frosting)

Its pretty easy to do, I have one of the setups with a guage and adapters for the high and low side, but now they make a bottle with a line that hooks right up, I think it might have a small guage setup built in, its even cheaper.
