Can anyone recommend any good chips to boost my hp up? I don’t have a HUGE price range (actually I’m still -420 for my hood lol ) but I’m looking to spend about 200 probably.. Any suggestions?

chips wont do much of anything, as with most bolt ons. So do the cheap bolt ons first, it will be a good while before you should worry with a chip/tune (mail order chips suck butt unless they are from a very good tunner)

I bought a chip with just exhaust/intake. It made a huge difference, but now I'm buying a tuner b/c the chip won't cut it anymore.

keep in mind these people did not just order a chip directly they had a tunner setup the program for them ( a real tunner ) in the end expect 10rwhp/tq max on a stock car~ which is more than exhaust or cai give but not a ton more.

through a chip, yeah, because the chip will change shift points, etc.
10 hp through any other means will probably be noticable, but not a kick you in the ass noticable.

also, for a decent chip expect to pay about 310 for it. Actually that's my price for a chip, and if you want the new SCT flasher, it runs 400 flat. The flasher actually is a mini microtuner that allows to you fine tune your eec and clear trouble codes and it will store your stock program along with up to 3 more extra programs you can switch to only by the press of a button.

Another benefit to the xcal2 flasher I just got is that you can adjust your tune in the future without having to pull a chip out and install another one.

Even on a stock car you can get gains from a good tune, improved power at WOT and part throttle, improved throttle reponse, MUCH better shifting if you have an auto, and a removed speed limiter. The SCT x-cal2 is really the best way to go ($379), its the most flexible and has the most features. At VMP we do all of our tuning in house on our own dyno, so we aren't just reselling somebody elses product. If you have a problem with your tune we know how to fix it, because we created it. Some of the products out there from superchips inc, diablo, hypertech, and some SCT dealers are just one size fits all generic programs.
