I believe it's the fact that your first post was selling something... in fact, all of your posts are trying to sell something. That's typically looked down upon. This is more of a 'community' than an ad-site for posting stuff for sale... if you had made an effort to improve the site, then you wouldn't have gotten any guff over trying to sell something... I believe that was Rob's point.
