hi,
my name is matt, just joined.
currently drive a mitsubishi evolution. always fancied a proper american muscle car, rarity, instant power, sweet v8, gorgeous body, and rear wheel drive = loads of fun 
i live in the uk, and am considering importing a mustang cobra from the states because the price difference is incredible!

i've emailed all the UK import companies so will see what kind of response i get..
i'm thinking it would be cheaper to do it all myself, i mean, i saw a yellow 99 Stang GT manual, 18k miles going for £12,000 UK Pounds = $22,000

Welcome, it seems the 03/04 cobras have a high premium right now sadly. They would be the best in terms of the 99+ cobras, but they tend to cost 23-24k US for an 03 model in good condition with good miles (hardtop)
how much trouble are they to import, cost? etc?

been talking to a jap car importer, been convinced it would be best that i find a US car exporter/UK importer to find me a car, that way if something goes wrong they pay for it, and they have the expertise, experience etc
so do any of you know US car exporters?

I think thats a good plan but get the full warranty in writing and read it all to see what you are liable and not liable for.

i've decided to get some help from some UK mustang owners 1 in particular imported his vehicle himself and saved a ton of money, and went to view it himself in person before he bought it. got the guy selling it to him to say it was a gift (to save $$$$ on taxes).. .hopefully there might be someone selling the car i want on this forum?!

you never know, there WAS an electric green 99 cobra in my area for sale but I cant tell you anything more about it~ its probably gone already. They tend to pop up pretty often though, give ebay a look.
