I've recently develpoed a squeak everytime I hit a bump that comes from my front right wheel well. I bounced the car and believe it is coming from the strut. Is there anything else that could be squeaking up there? Also if it is the strut does that mean that it's bad or is there another possible cause such as dirt somewhere etc. Thanks

No the suspension is stock. I have about 60,000 miles on the car (got the car with 25,000) and I would say that I am pretty gentle on the car.

Actually it could be dry tierod ends or any number of suspension parts that could squeak. The best thing is take to a place with a lift that will do free inspections and be able to lube anything that squeaks. I mentioned lowering because typically when you lower the tie rod ends change there movement inside the rotating ball in the end of the rod. This new motion will sometimes track over a dried grease area and cause a squeak.

check the tie rod ends and the bushings on the front sway bar as well as the strut. Greeze em all if they are not dry rotted.

Mine does the exact same thing. I just got used to it. Nothing seems to work to stop it.

now i'm starting to hear it from the other side too. I need to get this baby greased up and hope that's the problem. I really don't want to replace the suspension right now but if i have to i might just have to upgrade

i got the same problem. i also got about 60k and it squeaks out of both side in the front i'm pretty sure its the shocks. i hear it when i brake, accelerate or turn or when there's a break on the street. I'll try greasing my shit up and will follow up. One more thing does my car have shocks or struts or both, how does that work?

Front struts, rear shocks. I did some greasing and i definitly think it's the ball joints not the struts. I think I need something like the "needle thing" spectorV was talking about because I can't seem to get the grease were it needs to be to fix the problem.
