I have to go take my car in for Emissions...when i put my Cold Air Intake in, my SES light came on, i tried to clear the codes, and it worked, but a few miles later it would come back on again...and i was told that i would not pass emissions...does anyone know what i could do or if i did something wrong?...all the connections are tight nothing loose...i was told maybe it was upside down, i havent tried to do anything about it yet, i wanna get more ideas on what i could be first

Take it to Autozone and have them tell you what the code is.

Need to be more specific. The MAF is on the intake... there are a few connections to it and then you got the sensors on the TB that go bad...
How is the car running?

I posted this question on my other mustang forum site...and this is the response i got....
"For emissions testing, take the intake off, put the original back on and disconnect your battery for about 15 minutes to clear the code.
After that, I dunno. Might be possible that your new intake allows more airflow than the ECM can accomodate and you might be running too lean.
That would require enriching the air/fuel mixture (i.e. a tune)"
but all i was told was that the code came from my intake, cuz i have a after market one on there

I have never heard of a cold air intake causing problems unless there is a problem with the MAF or the temp sensor. You probably have a problem with one of those items.

I think you just forgot to plug something up or tighten something down. We all do it.

I've never heard of a CAI blowing a code... what if you disconnected the battery for 15 minutes with the CAI on? Maybe that'd help reset the computer and clear the code?

on some there is a hole that is on the back side, it may or may not be used, make sure you dont have a hole just sitting there open letting air in.

There is no CAI on earth that's gonna allow more air flow than the MAF can handle.
