the 94-95 computers are basically garbage once you start messing with the motor a decent bit, throw in a mass air fox computer

The computers arent bad, they just dont "learn" like the fox computers. Basically, if you get a tune youll be just fine. People that do older computer swaps (like my a9l) tend to do it because it eliminates that whole "tuning" thing and just allows the computer to compensate for itself. The older ones just have better learning curves so to speak.

go to a shop that has a dyno and burns custom chips and get them to burn a custom chip for you. they can get it dead on as to what it needs to be if its a good shop

you can get a mail order tune or a REAL tune. A real tune is 100000x better. You can get a wide open throttle tune which adjusts parameters (such as a/f) at full throttle and you can also have your non wide open throttle altered but thats far more difficult and most wont do it.

Thats a great idea... and for the people that know how to work a tweecer its awesome... but that average person isnt exactly a tuning specialist if you know what I mean. There might be a bunch of stuff to adjust, but if you dont know what the hell that stuff does, theres no point in trying

Hey, come down to baton rouge and I can get you in touch with someone that could really hook you up tune wise. He has a 95 cobra of his own and has done many others of the like. He tunes my car, as well as a couple other members on here. Very highly recommended and convienient event though it would be a little drive for you...but it would be a good excuse for a get together
EDIT: I can get you in touch with him and you can talk to him about your plans and go from there. PM me if you are interested.

True, but it is a great way to get to know your car better... The tweecer has a pretty steep learning curve, but the pms is pretty easy to deal with, just like an Xcal2 or other programmer...Food for thought
