wiper help?

I bought a 2000 converitble yesterday and while I was driving it home, the wipers keep coming on and i havent touched the switch or anything. does anyone know anything about this problem and what to do to fix it?

Hm...this is probably a stupid question, but have you turned the wiper knob all the way back to ensure it is completely off. Otherwise it seems you have a short in the wiring.

yes I have checked that and it is all the way off.

if the knob is turned off it should not be happening, did you buy it from a dealer

It's sounds like the MFS= multifunction switch (turn signal switch) If it keeps happening pull the fuse So you don't scrape up the windshield
