This is a question for all the gears Experts that we have here
Will the 4.10 gears give my 04 auto v6 mustang the feel of the v8?
If your answer is no
Than I will take the 1000 dollar and trade in me car. Well I won’t use the 1000 dollar for down payment I will use the money to pay insurance for the whole year []
My girlfriends grandpa used to work for ford so we get the C plan witch is like 5000 off in a new car
So I won’t be losing that much money

no, with 4.10 gears you will only make your car about 3.5 tenths faster (in 99 up cars) and thats still not even as fast as a regular GT mustang. It definatly helps but it wont make you just as fast as one. As far as performance it wont be to bad~ but it wont be what a stock 99+ gt is.

A gear swap should NOT cost 1000 bucks, mine ran me 450 for parts and 160 for install and it was done right with 100% ford parts.

I would run 3.73's or 3.55's if you are supercharging.

I also agree with what Spector said above.

Hey Spector I would agree with you but he lives in Cali and it is damn expensive there it is not uncommon to be over $500 and I have heard in some cities in Cali it is costing $750-$800.

There is something to be said for living in the South East where everything is cheaper.

4.10's might be a little too much. 3.73's will work for sure.
