it may be that the clutch is not going in far enough, you are pushing the petal all the way down but the cable still is not getting pulled enough by the petal. You can adjust the petal by pushing the clutch petal in with one hand and using the other to hold the half moon shaped clutch quadrent that the clutch cable is attatched to (located above the gas petal) and holding tention on it as you slowly let out on the cable, it will click and take up some slack. This wont last forever~ an aftermarket clutch quadrent and firewall adjuster will let you adjust it up though~
