took my mustang to the track for the first time. i only ran 3 times because it got so busy. the first two times i ran against a sprayed mach1 with racing slicks and he was just toyin with gt's and such. anywho..the third time i raced my friends rsx type-s. it was my best time. i ran a 16.5 1/4 mi. i have an automatic btw..is that a good time for my car? all i have done to it is a mac short ram intake..? what can i do to get in the 15's??
That's a normal time for a auto. What was your 60 foot?

Seeing as your in Florida and it was probaly hot 16.5 isent bad. The car is calpiable of 15's stock but you'll probaly have to wait until the fall to do that. 4.10's and a xcal2 and more practice would probaly get you running mid 15's.
every tenth off of your 60ft should shave nearly two tenths off your time, you should be pulling 2.2 60fts with out much issue 2.1s with practice under good track conditions so you can do the math.

You'd be way better off getting your intakes done, or swaping out your cam for the price of the chip. Then again, this is only if you do the work yourself. Pay someone else to do the work, and you'll be forking over money out the ying-yang. My opinion is to always work from the center on the engine and work outwards in both directions.
