and you know damn good and well mustang owners who mod there cars and have heavy foots don't get the gas mileage listed there. |

but youre talking about gettin a scion and dropping like 5k in it to have 300hp.............for 5k in my stang, i'll have over 400.......to the ground. and my car will be far more reliable..........and it wont be s/c'd yet. my motor plus a 200 shot will net me at least 400rwhp, throw a s/c on that and i'm sitting pretty around 500 or more......that motor will handle 20psi.
look, its your choice, if you choose that, i wont think less of you, but i will have a hella fun time skull draggin you up and down the road

Let's see....2000 V6....no car payment...doesn't pay for about 90ish % of his gas...
vs.
New TC....car payment...increased insurance because a financed car requires full coverage rather than liability....and possibly addition gas costs.
Those same people will have heavy feet with the tc and won't get the mileage listed there either.

5k is not the cost of that turbo kit lol sorry.... anyhow its cool not some peoples slice of pie.... but tc is just a more college friendly car that has good aftermarket prescence to satisfy me...
besides i don't need 500 hp i will kill myself... i draw the line somewhere |

the only thing i see here is someone needing a car that can be modified and kept under warranty at the same time. whether or not costs or more, if something happens to the car there is no out of pocket expense for a while.
his liability insurance i would have to say it more than full coverage on a tc... my insurance on my civic was more than full coverage on a tc.... i found it hard to believe what it was true |

But he doesn't need a car unless you know about his parents getting ready to take it away and I don't. If that's the case, get the kia sephia with the 10 year warranty...ride it through college...save up...then buy a beast when out of college.
If they aren't taking his car....then it makes no sense to move into a new car payment for him
For you...it kind of makes sense...something economical because it will probably be you paying for most of your stuff....
For him...it sounds like a dumb move.

well, how much then? 3k...........and you are still running a stock tranny, stock internals, etc........for the ~5k i will spend, i will get a fresh motor with forged internals, new rear, new upper intake, built up tranny (just gonna rebuild mine), and a new more aggressive tune..........which with that should sit me at ~250-275rwhp......not that impressive? i can understand, but youre not only payin for the extra 50-75rwhp, but also a motor that will handle a 200 shot and/or 20psi..........
and if you are lookin for a new car, yes, it does have student discounts and "cool" little add-ons to get...............but its your choice..........
if you do get it, i wanna run you the day you get it
