decision help

I need help deciding which amp to buy to push my 5x7's, pioneer something or other 3 way style speakers, I think they are rated for 200w or so but not totally sure.

eBay: Sony Xplod 4 channel 600 watt Mosfet amplifier (item 9726671812 end time May-24-06 12:54:26 PDT)

or

eBay: Audiobahn 4Channel Amp Led Lights Great condition (item 9728023670 end time May-21-06 20:24:55 PDT)

the audiobahn amp I have a second chance offer to buy it out, and I am high bidder on the sony but I dont want to get in the situation of winning 2 auctions...so should i push on with the sony or go with the audiobahn

they're rated for 200W peak, don't look at that look for the RMS number that matches your speakers at the right ohm load

so I got the sony, spkrs are rated at 240w max and 4ohm impedence just fyi. I installed the amp and have the rear speakers hooked up and will be hooking the fronts as soon as i get another rca cable and some more spkr wire which brings me to my next question. When i have the radio on the amp powers up but when I switch to CD it shuts the amp off. Everything works great with the radio though. I am sure its just a wire on the deck itself that needs to be hooked up but I am not totally sure which one.

ROTFLMAO....this sound familiar.

You need to connect the remote wire to the other blue wire on the back of your radio.

and I have hooked it up to 2 different blue wires but no joy, I think there is one more back there which I am going to try when I get a chance to tear into the dash but I just dont feel like doing it right now.

I just went through the same thing on Corey's system a few months back...that explains the ROTFLMAO...I wasn't laughing at you cuz I did the same thing.

Uhm...hm...there should be 2 blue wires. One is the remote wire and the other is the antenna wire. The reason the amp only works with the antenna wire connected is b/c the radio is the only input that uses the antenna. Hm...You should be able to hook up to the other one and be good to go.

I found one more blue wire w/ white stripe and hooked it up to that and it worked so just need to hook the front speakers up and I am all done woohoo, thanks for the help....


I wasnt incinuating that you were laughing at me just wasnt sure what it was being directed towards.
