Went to check it out..
first.. looked clean from a distance.. had porno red interior.. automatic.. had 69k on the clock.. but had to be 169k.. asking price 4200, said rebuilt trans, AC, $4200 o/BO
Looked it over... paint was glossy.. looked closer... it was resprayed.. probably a maaco job... all the rust points that hadn't been prepped (IE a maaco 'ambassador' respray) had large bubbling points under the paint.. and after completely marring the paint job to sand down the rust.. it'd probably need at least 1 1/4 panel or a lot of bondo.. looked under car... no rot that I could see... but it was oilier underneath than my 92 was.. and my '92 would DUMP oil down the back of the engine.. everything appeared to be leaking under the car.. radiator, engine, trans, AND rear all had fluid under them
Its a shame but unfortunately you really have to check a fox out before you buy it.. a lot can happen in 17 years...
