How many miles can one expect out of a 2000 4.6? Is there some sort of average?

if its well taken care of. Fuel filter every year, oil changed (good oil) and filter every 3k, and injection cleaner pretty much taken care of like it should be and not BEAT on EVERY day you sould see 100k easy.

We have limos coming in that have tripped 1 million miles.. original engine usually some have had head gaskets replaced but some are bare original.. they leak oil like sieves but they still run great.. transmissions are redone usually every 200-400k miles
taxi 4.6s also take a beating..
if my '02 GT hadn't been wiped out by a punk running a stop sign.. I would drive that.. I'd bet even the way I drive that car would have still been going strong and still would have been 200k+ miles
