If it was me, I'd buy the 03 cobra mirrors and color match those. It just doesn't look as clean just painting the factory mirrors.

Mine are painted and look pretty good IMO. If I had the money, I would probably get the Cobra's, but this is what I did: It will be close to the same amount of money to have them painted as to get Cobra's, so I had them painted when they were painting some of my body kit, so they didn't charge any extra for the mirrors. If you get something else painted, paint the mirrors too, if not, just get Cobra's.

buy 03 cobra mirrors for 150 a set (or around that, i paid 150) and paint them it looks MUCH better.

Where'd you buy them? I'm having trouble finding where I can get them. If I have mine painted will the paint chip off because of they're plastic? |

I wish ford would have offered painted mirrors earlier on they do make nice addition.

They smoothed them out good. Probobly alot of sanding and primer surfacer. |

Yeah, it does require a lot of prep. If done right, I think it looks good as Cobra's.

I like painted mirrors!!!! The mirrors on my car have the dimples. I guess to paint them I would have to break into some fine sanding to make them smooth and then I will powdercoat them myself with laser red.

Dude you dont have to do heavy sanding some is neded but not a whole lot, add a nice few nice layers of primer surfacer and they should be real smooth |

In order to do it right it will take a good bit of sanding.... and it will take a good bit of time.
