swap a 98 4.6 into a 95 3.8

I got a complete car for dirt cheap. It a 1998 4.6. Other than just swapping out the v8 stuff such as engine, trans, rear end, shocks, harness, etc. What else is needed. I beleive teh 96 up used a different k member or am i wrong. any information would be appreciated. Money and time are not issues. I just think it would be a fun winter project this year, and I would like to get it done right. Also woudl i need to change the anything else other than the engine harness or would i need to change the dash etc. to get all the correct harnesses to fit. thanks in advance.

There's a guy on here who recently swapped a 4.6 into a v6, you should check that thread. His names is wrecked2001 or something like that.

yea I got this low mileage complete car for 1k. nto a bad deal in my mind.

Things you need
Engine
rear end
transmission
drive shaft
98 k-member
transmission mounts/ might need to be frabricated?
EEC
harness
Instrument cluster
4.6 fuel system down to the fuel tank.
hydrobooster
steering rack/and PS lines
4.6 radiator and fan
Thats all i could think of.
If the 4.6 has an ABS master cylinder and 3.8 does not, a custom brake has to be made to make it work, or you can swap the whole ABS system.

thanx. I have teh whole car it was a side collision hit. Happens to be a friend of the family so i got it for a steal. It should be a nice winter project. Ill keep yah posted.
