Well the 20 inch rims aren't helping you
How much you got to spend. There are many different things you can do to get more power.
Cv = Convertible Mustang? 2004? Wrong forum....
What size engine do you have? 3.8 4.6?

I take it from his avatar... he has a v-6 (side scoops). Also, you're gonna need quite a bit of work to catch up to GT levels. You'd need a decent amount of engine work... we're talking all the bolt ons, including exhaust, a tuner, and maybe a little more...
If you're looking to catch him cheaply and quickly... gears and NOS.

NAWWWSSSS, but serious, your car can easily take a 75 shot safely. if you want power all the time i suggest a procharger or a vortect, the procharger builds about 310 to the wheels.

the GTs in those years run low 14s stock, not amazing but you will need to shave off two seconds or more to be in that range. It can be done but it will not be done cheap. You will have to add a power adder (supercharger/turbocharger) or build the motor~ you can do a good bit with just bolt ons and gears but dont expect to shave off more than a second from your car if that.

the air intake will net you MAXIMUM of 5 horsepower... more likely only 2. So, that puts you at 195 horsepower... and the GT still at 260, if it's stock. You're 65 horsepower in the hole, not to mention the torque. You will need a lot more than bolt ons. If you have an automatic, 4.10 gears, manual... 3.73. Those will help out a lot... but not enough yet to catch the GT power. That's why if your ONLY goal is to beat him... you get a small shot of NOS. The NOS and the gears will allow you to beat him... assuming he's stock.
also, you should click "rate my post", and give me a cube.. as I only need one more to get 2 green cubes on the side

the only bad thing about gears, is that if you get them, in order for a correct speedo, you 'need' a tuner to recalibrate your speedo.
You can get a complete gear kit from Mustang Parts - Mustang Tuning .com - Mustang Wheels, Mustang Exhaust, Mustang Performance Parts, Mustang Accessories, which includes the gears and the tuner, and the rear oil for $540 shipped... you don't HAVE to get the tuner, but it helps. Then, install, which I think was around $200?
NOS, on the other hand... I'm not 100% sure on, cause I wouldn't put it on my car... but I think the install is pretty straight forward, you should be able to do it yourself. I don't know pricing on NOS kits, but it shouldn't cost you what the gears would... and, if you run a big enough shot, you wouldn't need gears at all. A 75 shot might put you near the same speed as the GT.

NOS really isn't all that hard to install... I hear they provide very good instructions. (little cube appreciated ... guess I have to wait for Brent to "ok" it.)

get rid of the 20s (ur never going to get any speed out of tires that big--plus they probably weigh way too freakin much) and get urself tuned, maybe turbo/supercharge it at some point (make sure u have ur engine prepared for something like that though)
