Damn.
Looks like it was out on a country road too...
Just goes to show that stuff like that can happen anywhere.

yeah, we've only had a couple bad accidents... Rick0636 had a pretty decently bad accident, where he totalled his '99 'vert... and ended up in the hospital. I know I had an accident that could've been a lot worse, and I was knocked out for 20 minutes.. other than that, I'm not sure about our 'decent' accidents.

Thats so sad. That's one of the reasons I got rid of my gt when I did. I was to young and stupid at the time to have that kind of car. After a few misses I had I feel very lucky nothing bad ever happend to me. I agree that any racing should be left at the track.

That was a damn dumb idea to even race there. My family drives down for some fairs and stuff they have over there, the roads aren't exactly... street racing friendly. It hasn't had a fresh coat of pavement ever since it was laid out there.

Sorry to hear that, I didn't know this guy, but was a mod on 3.8 for a long time. I feel sorry for the family too. Pic brings back bad memories. These two are of my GT from the salvage auction. It sold for 800 bucks.
I am sort of on a Crusade to get people to put Roll Bars in their Mustang convertables, if I had had one in mine, I might not have had to have back surgery.

The only good body part on the car was the hood. As far as I know the engine and transmission were good, the IRS was broken though.

Real roll bars are cheaper than light bars, and they might save your life in a case like this, I am truly lucky to be alive, this guy wasn't so lucky.
