Why to people up north, whom have never been down here, make fun of the south and the way they "think" we live. They assume we dont wear shoes, have no education and get together with our cousins and have children... wtf... its odd how they think we do things and yet they have NEVER been down here or have a REAL clue as to what its really like.
Discuss.

Its ironic really, those that put down the south and make fun of us with out having a basis for proof are in fact showing how ignorent they are, not us.

they really piss me off.
I swear.. I'll only ever live up there if I absolutely have to, and there's no other choice.. I can't live somewhere where it's cold, and they have no clue what grits and sweet tea are.

I assumed people from Alabama were decently racist... I did assume you wore shoes... But other than that and referring to all pop as Coke... which I totally disagree with, I didn't make too many assumptions. Plus, southern chicks with southern accents are hot... that's why I found me a girl that was born in Texas

I don't know what grits are... I know what sweet tea is, but have never had more than a sip of it... yuck. Also, people in Iowa are VERY nice. It does get pretty damn cold here... like I saw -15 last year a couple times. Also, we typically get above 100 frequently in the summer... so we get both shitty ends of the stick.

Texas is far from the South. Trust me.
The accents Texas girls have almost aren't even accents. They sound like they're from Ohio or something.

Iowa is known for a complete lack of any accent... I pick up very slight accents very very easily. Plus, one of my good friends was born in Alabama, and his sister had quite the southern accent.. it was pretty hot. Also, my gf now doesn't really have much of an accent, just carries the whole "soda water" thing... which I love teasing her about

This seemed appropriate...
You're An EXTREME Redneck When.....
1. You let your 14-year-old daughter smoke at the dinner table in front of
her kids.
2. The Blue Book value of your truck goes up and down depending on how much
gas is in it.
3. You've been married three times and still have the same in-laws.
4. You think a woman who is "out of your league" bowls on a different night.
5. You wonder how service stations keep their rest-rooms so clean.
6. Someone in your family died right after saying, "Hey, guys, watch this."
7. You think Dom Perignon is a Mafia leader.
8. Your wife's hairdo was once ruined by a ceiling fan.
9. Your junior prom offered day care.
10. You think the last words of the "Star-Spangled Banner" are
"Gentlemen, start your engines."
11. You lit a match in the bathroom and your house exploded right off its
wheels.
12. The Halloween Pumpkin on your porch has more teeth than your spouse.
13. You have to go outside to get something from the fridge.
14. One of your kids was born on a pool table.
15. You need one more hole punched in your card to get a freebie at the
House of Tattoos.
16. You can't get married to your sweetheart because there's a law against
it.
17. You think loading the dishwasher means getting your wife drunk.
And Finally:
An East Tennessee couple, both real-live rednecks, had 9 children. They went
to the doctor to see about getting the husband "fixed". The doctor asked
them why, after nine children would they choose to do this. The husband
replied that they had read in a recent article that one out of every ten
children being born in North America was Mexican and they didn't want a
Mexican baby because neither of them could speak Spanish.

I wish some of you could see some of the things I have seen living in Alabama. I would dare say that even some of you Huntsville/Decatur guys have no idea...
