Moving Smog Stations!
you have got to be fucking kidding me. its a trailer with the dyno on it, and can be used on all types (awd or not). basically insead of a Sobriety test, theyre gonna have random "Smog" test stations.
its supposedly to test the populus emissions in a given area. yeah right. its a ploy, to flag and pull over "modified" vehicles to gain revenue. you KNOW they wont waste their time letting everyday polluters like minivans and SUV's on the dyno, yet your mildly modded honda will be the first on there.
you dont HAVE to do it, its supposed to be an "at will" thing. but you know theyll have the street blocked off, and theyll let the normal cars go while the modded looking ones get strapped down. technically, unless you are reffed, you do not have to smog your car until your 2 years is up. BUT if you dont smog, youre basically admitting to hiding something, and that is grounds for a inspection. so youre basically fucked either way.
theyre going to be out in force this weekend, due to the ricer-tastic F&F3. hell i might slap on my stock intake to waste their time and fuck with their heads. hell if it means i smog my car then and i dont have to do it 2 years and they pay for the smog fee and to send it to the dmv, why the fuck not?
