Well, I compiled some track times on the GT500 from various magazine test. Looks like I might be good enough to be a test driver for all the non mustang mags since all I can do is pull 13.10 out of my car.
Seems the extra 100hp is putting the GT500 in the same times as the stock 03/04s (Evan pulled 12.3s or 12.4s out of the stock 03s I believe). Man that extra weight is killing that car....I guess it is a good thing they didn't put the IRS in it.
Road and Track's results
13.1@112
Car and Driver
12.9@113
Motortrend
12.7@116.0 mph
Automobile
13.1@115
Muscle Mustang's results with no less than the legendary Evan Smith driving..
12.25@117
I've compiled them from various postings around the net...but some of the postings had the issue scanned in. I will work on getting that info for you...
Gotta love the driver mod...seems to be the best bang for the buck for that car so far. Now...to get one installed in my car...Hmmmm...
I know Car and Driver (and probably some of those other mags) run them like you would drive them. Gas out, clutch in, change gear, clutch out, gas in. That's why their times are so much slower than the drag racing mags, who are powershifting and beating the hell out of 'em.

MM&FF has somewhat of a reputation of breaking cars because they DO run they so hard. Their writers/drivers say they drive test cars just like they drive their own cars.
