clutch repair for '95 GT

hey i need some info for the repair specs on the clutch of my gt...1995 mustang 5.0 gt coupe with T-5... bought ottawa clutch repair pack and looked at the thing but need to know where to start...yet my friend told me to seperate the tranny from the bellhousing first...all i see is 4 bolts on the housing but is there a nexst at the top that u cant see? trying to do this today so if anyone has what i need i would appreciate it.... thanx very much

the bell housing to trans bolts are only 4 I believe, Im trying to remember correctly since I just put a T5 in my car. I want to say theres only 1 on each corner. with the trans out of the way the bellhousing bolts will be easily reachable, or you could just take the trans crossmember out while supporting the trans with a jack. Then slowly lower it down, your motor mounts will pivot some and you can get to the top bellhousing bolts with about 36" worth of extensions. the rest of the bolts for the bellhousing are easy and make sure you unbolt them first then do the last top 2 if your going to remove it as 1 piece.

hey man thanx for the info...u got any heads laying around that u want to get rid of? the drive shaft comes off with a 12mm 12 point...hard to do without such a small tool but hey even the lil' things make the bigger things get along better..so anyhow, I'm looking for a whole assortment of parts so if u can let me know what u want to get rid of that i may need...thanks again

Also, a small tip to removing driveshaft bolts: Put your ratchet and socket on the bolt head with the ratchet pointing down to the ground. Make sure the car is firmly placed on stands. Get out toward the side of the car, and use your foot to push the ratchet and loosen the bolts.

It's amazing how much easier they are this way.

This may seem obvious but dont forget to remove the shifter as well

I dont trust driveshaft bolts with ratchets unless they are already broke free or im tightening them down. I just use a hammer and a wrench since I dont have air tools lol.
