Does it feel like the tranny tries to catch the gear but slips?
Or just like there is a power struggle. You have to explain this better. It might be a bad shift solenoid. does it happen on everyshift?

well it only happens during 35 mph, which happens to be when the auto tranny switches gears. I would think it be a sensor, because if it was the torque converter it would do it on every gear switch... but im no expert on this. i also thought if i flushed the tranny oil it would fix it self, but no.

Stock autos do have a slight hesitation at that speed. Ford doesn't know how or won't fix it.

Changing the oil wont fix any internal damage, apperantly lowflyn has that same expirience it seems to be normal. Has it always been like this? Maybe get the 2-3 solenoid checked

I have a few friends who have noticed the same thing. One of them carried his to ford at least 3 times under warranty to have them fix it, only to be told they can't lol. He got a chip and it stopped.

Mine only did it at about 55 changing gear's an only that gear was the one that did it everyone told me it was the converter . So I serviced the tranny new filter gasket drained the converter . filled it back up with MERCRON 5 an also the additives you sopost to put in an problem gone . That's why they have the mecron 5 for 96 an newer fords for the shimmie problem's .

I think It might be normal, might not be a solenoid. Do the j-mod (search) and i think it should fix your problem.

I have a 2002 with the same problem. If you happen to find the solution post it on the web.

shoot... mine does it when i acclerate hard from a stop and then let up slight before it shifts. it feels like it is backing off, i get slight power loss and then it hits again. irritates the piss out of me. but it's normal. if i don't let off, it doesn't happen. if i don't push as hard, it doesn't happen. i think it's just the puter getting confused.

i think lowflyn is right, get a chip. it will override the puter and erase that hesitation. i need to do that for mine so i can tune it after the final mods are complete.
