I just returned from watching the new Fast and The Furious movie and I was curious. At the end of the movie what year was the mustang chassis and body? I thought it looked like a 65-67 but Im not too strong on my older bodies. Anyone appreciate the combination of import engine in the american muscle frame? I, myself, thought it was an appreciative combo. Thanks

This is about the only thing worse than putting a chevy engine into a ford. Blastphemous. It is just another subliminal way they try to raise the imports over domestic. An appreciative motor swap would be like the SN65...drop an 03 cobra drive train in that beast and watch it bury all that uncle bens.
In part 1...that "10 second" POS beat the charger in a 1/4 mile race to the train tracks....and just had to destroy the charger.
In part 2...the grapefruit shooters were able to outrun a viper, saleen, and the other domestics while getting the cigars as the test. They were also able to beat the beefed up cuda and camaro (???) in the "down and back" race. And then, they could only save the day using domestics...but notice they were sure to destroy them both. Add to that the destroyed saleen.
Score In the first 2 movies:
Imports vs domestic races: 3 wins 0 losses (also 1 win vs a ferarri...GMAFB)
Imports destroyed: 1...bozo's car when the "NAAAAAAWS" blows from gun shots.
Domestics destroyed: 4 that I can remember.
These movies try and build the import scene up without flat out saying "Imports are the greatest"...I am sure this drift shit does a simular thing.
The only thing these movies are good for are the eye candy and the serious amount of laughing that ensues when the graphics, spoilers, cannons, and "30 shifts in a 1/4 mile race action" runs across the screen.

If the youth of America wants to be that stupid we will just have to educate them one red light at a time.

I leave that to the V6's and GTs. I don't waste the gas on imports unless someone just needs a serious edumacation.
Also, with my previous rant over....It also isn't impressive to stick a 2.x litre engine into an engine compartment that is able to hold a 426ci cobra jet...and larger engines.

you meant cut the body off of an 03 and modify just about everything to make the 65 body fit and end up with pure sex, right?

No, I mean just swap the drive train. The only reason they cut up the body was because they made the 65 body fit the 03 chassis. I am just refering to doing the drive train swap like others have.

a dohc 4.6 wont fit in the engine bay lol. without a big hammer and some welding.
biggest you can do really in a 64-66 is a 302/351 and a 351 is kinda a tight fit. let alone a 4.6 which is roughly the size of a 460.

I was treated to a movie froma friend 4 nights ago, we saw it, it pissed me off.
It had a half decent story to it, alot better than the second's, but the twin cam nissan engine was a big nono.
I like the idea of dropping a cobra engine in it or else just getting a fucking 302 with a procharger. That'll drift as well as any 4 banger weedwhacker motor can.
