IAC motor?

Just curious- Whats the IAC motor? I'm ordering a BBK Throttle body and spacer and it says its not included. Do I need It?

Idle Air Controller. It's the little cylinder-shaped sensor think that comes off the front of the TB.

You don't need one, you'll just re-use your stock one. While you have it off, clean it out really well with some carb cleaner.

Could the IAC be the reason my idle is erratic. When I first start it up it drops to 500 rpm and sounds like its about shut off. There after until its warmed up the idle goes up to 900 and drops to 500...up and down!

Its a possibilty. Do like Bbunt said, clean it out with some carb or air intake cleaner.
