I was hoping somone could point me in the right direction to get the Camber Adjusted on my 98 Mustang
I installed lowering springs in the Front and Rear of my Car and I noticed today that the insides of both front tires are completely worn out. It's an equal amount of wear on both tires, approx 2 inches
Somone told me I have negative camber and it needs to be fixed pronto
I apologize for my ignorance, I appreciate any input
Thank you
Dean

The install involves drilling a new hole in your strut tower and replacing both the top and bottom plates of the caster/camber adjustment plates. It's not too involved if you know basic suspensions and have a drill and some time. The instructions with maximum motorsports products are very detailed. I have the 4 way caster camber plates from maximum motorsports and love them.

You should be able to install them pretty easy. As far as getting it aligned correctly I would install them and then take your car to get an alignment at an alignment shop.

Are you mechanically inclinded? If so, they shouldn't be too bad... but even taking them to a professional shop shouldnt be too expensive. Let me know if you plan to purchase those, I have a discount code that will get the 4 bolt C/C plates from MM (best you can buy) for 166 shipped

Thanks for the reply Mike
I am very mechanically inclined so it shouldnt be too much sweat,
I was just concerned about geting it exact.
Once I instal the plates should I just take it to pep boys and get them to adjust the alignment correctly?

yeah, have them put it on an alignment machine... itll come out perfect
Id suggest NOT pep boys as they tend to be idiots at places like that. Take it to a reputable alignment shop or some place like firestone, a good year store, etc... somewhere that they do alignments all day long and have specific person assigned to that job.

yea take it to a shop that just does alignments. I've just taken classes on steering, suspension, and alignment, and learned there's lot's of guys out there that just set up the car and try to get it in the green but don't really know what they're doing.
I'd have them check thrust angle, SAI. of course since the ride height has changed they'll have to compensate for that and should know how to do that.

The install is pretty straight forward. If you feel comfortable working on a car on a level of 2 our of 10 on a how hard scale you should be fine.

Yes they come with very detailed intructions, you should be able to do it without a problem if you have tools. Then just take it to an aligment shop and you're set.
