shudder before shift during acceleration

Ok, I can feel a slight shudder in the car as I accelerate right before shifting. This happens when I don't step on it too hard. It doesn't happen when I kick it hard. Just wondering what this might be besides a transmission problem *crossing my fingers*

try cleaning your Throttle body and fuel system.

Use some fuel injection cleaner, may have to get them professionaly cleaned.

Changed the transmission fluid/filter and that took care of it. Now hopefully the fuel pump holds out for a while :-P

You might also want to add a pint or quart, if there is room, of transmission tune up. This sometimes helps with problems like you mentioned and is recommended after fluid and filter changes.
