Hey guys im a new member and this is my first post. I have a 2003 v6 mustang ( see attachment) and im looking to put some major boost into it. Last year I added a BBK cold air intake, a flowmaster muffler and the cobra spoiler...keep in mind that i was only able to put about 300 into it at the time so that was the best i could do at the time. With the flowmaster it actually sounds like a v8 when i really let her fly. Anyways... I am planning on putting about 7 grand into it once i pull the money together and im not sure what to do first.I know I definitly want to put a supercharger kit into it so that will take out a big chunk but what else???

first off, welcome to the site
secondly, you may want to look at this thread for a lot of tips on how to mod your v6 to get the best results...also, make sure you get a good tune, cause that will definately help

Welcome to the site. And if you're really serious about wanting the most out of your engine and supercharging it I'd definitely recommend building your internals to handle the boost.

Personally, I would get a Head/Cam/Intake kit for that new supercharger, a set of 3.73 gears, a trac-lock differential, a good tune, and a nice free flowing exhaust.

for the rear... get an 8.8" rear with gears already in it. That will handle almost as much power as your 6 could ever throw at it, as long as you don't drive like an idiot. (I believe the 8.8" rears are rated to around 600 rwhp, and the 7.5" is only 450 rwhp... and yeah, you may not get to that point, but why not be sure )

Eh, if he isnt planning on going into the engine too much or using slicks he could use the 7.5"
Of course he could buy a fully assembled 8.8 out of something like CJ pony parts and maybe spend 100 or 200 more after the install and everything. It would be worth it but I am looking into doing the 7.5" gear and tlok thing. Cheaper and all I'll need cause I don't goto the track.
I jus think a 7.5 is a little cheaper and perfectly alright for street use.

You will have roughly $2000 left over from the SC kit starting out with $8k possibly more. I'd use that for rear upgrades and exhaust as one stock size pipe will not be enough. Then I would use the rest to put into the motor, like H/C/I. Maybe a forged rotating assembly.
