Dude the car is cool except for the big ass elbow sticking out for a tail pipe. Looks really out of place. It looks like you yanked that out from under a kitchen sink BY GOD!!!

It wasnt exactly my choice. I ordered a 3" turndown, the pictured looked like a normal 3" turndown, and i got that 3" lint trap. It serves its purpose, since the car runs a bit rich, it would leave soot on the bumper, the turndown stops that.
Im probably going to take it off, hack at it with a sawzall, clean it up with a grinder, and put it back on one of these days.

You mean GT? That tailpipe is as tucked as its going to get. The stock tailpipes actually hung lower than this one. I dont have a lot of room to tuck it since its a 3" tailpipe that doesnt even fit mustangs for shit, so its not going to fit a thunderbird any better.
And whats the deal with the damn tailpipe? I post 10 pics of my car after a 5-lug conversion, complete brake upgrade, wheels and tires, and all this shit, and people focus on a damn tailpipe.

Gunmetal
Mine was a breeze, other than finding parts. Most use SN95 stuff, where as i used all lincoln stuff. I had everything i needed other than some brackets and dust shields, so it took my a month or so to find those, the actual conversion was easy though.

dude that exhaust is badass. it gives it the "im tbird232ci and i dont give a fuck. this car is loud and proud. unlike the mustang guys, im gonna put a huge turndown and not tuck it under the car, to give it that one-off custom look. how many other cars have badass exhausts like this? now run away from me little 5.0, now with tail tucked between legs from a beatdown handed to the one sided-non tucked-in-turndown-equipped-4banger-landbarge"
id leave it how it is. rims look sweet btw, but i think i liked the old ones better. but imo some black DD cobraR's would look way sweeter.

I've never been a T-Bird fan, but those wheels do look good on the car..... so, very nice job.
My recommendation for the tailpipe:
Chop of the piece of the turndown that drops down toward the ground. It'll still give you the turndown effect without standing out.
Something along these lines:
