I just put a new exhaust on my 99 LX 5 speed. I got a set of Hedman Street Headers w/ 1.5" tubes, a Pypes Performance Exhaust 2.5" Off-Road X-pipe and 2 Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I didn't get any pipes for after the mufflers. Will the Tailpipes drop the sound down to a managable level to make it street worthy again? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Running pipes from the muffler back will greatly reduce your interior noise level. I ran dumps on my car for a few months, and now have the same mufflers, just run out the back. It reduced the interior exhaust sound by at least 50 percent.
