just did almost a complete fluid change on everything(minus the coolant system) with Royal Purple
did the rear end in hopes of either allieviating my take off/under 1mph moan, or quieting it. i drove it around and while i can still hear it if i try, its not as loud as it used to be, though it wasnt 100* out like it is usually when the moan is at its worst. will check back tomorrow.
the tranny fluid i did because one day i noticed my Tri-Ax felt really sloppy, and i was having trouble finding 3rd due to it. so i took it all apart and the whole tri-ax base was just sitting there, all 4 bolts had all worked loose and were just barely holding the whole unit aligned. stupid rubber gasket and stupid me for no lock washers. 4 lock washers later, im wondering how much fluid is left, since its all over the rear tranny housing. so i changed the tranny fluid with Royal Purple Synchrotech or whatever they call it(For manual trannies, not the ATF fluid). shifts like a 3650 SHOULDNT. pure butter baby, shes going to the phat farm. its almost as i can barely tap it from 2nd up and itll slide into 3rd with super minimal effort, even at WOT. another reason was after the 1hr drive to the track, i noticed my tranny was chattering again, something it didnt do after last fluid change, its not loud, but it annoys me. hoping this fixed that as well, as i was driving for a good 30 minutes with many WOT and highway driving, and nothing but silencio.
then onto the motor oil change. havent done it in a while, figured why the fuck not? 4.5qts of 5w30 later and a K&N oil filter and all is good under the hood.
then the squealing brakes. annoying, cause they squealed only at slight to medium pressure, so to avoid annoying sounding brakes, i start to change my driving by coming to a stop later and reverting to moderate braking techniques. so i got new ones. now shes quiet again.
but fuck man, ill be damned, cause after handheld tuners, CAI's, TB/Plenums and UDP's, a mere 120$ of Royal Purple, and i had the BEST seat of my pants gain of everything else. maybe not a gain, more like rescuing lost HP/TQ from old, worn out and shitty fluids. it felt like a new car again, like the feel i got the first time i test drove it down the street.
i am amazed and am now a believer in Royal Purple.

its good stuff, but I wouldnt expect any real gains from it unless what you was using was in much need of being changed.
