Greetings Everyone, Mike here from Columbus Georgia.I stumbled across this site by accident and I think it is great. Lots of good information here.My Mustang is a 2001 V-6.I have had it about about 4 months now and I love it. I am the second owner and I have done a few things to it like a new set of American Racing wheels and new Goodyear tires, hood scoop, driving lights, rocker strips and the rear Mustang letter inserts.Me and the wife will be taking it up to the Smokies in a month or so and I am looking forward to getting it out on the highway. One thing I don't understand, Why do these cars NOT have an ashtray and a lighter?I had to have a lighter so I put one in the place of the power port in the dash.Thats it for now Talk to ya'll later, Mike

There are a lot of cars without ashtrays. The dealer made money by offering a ashtray cup that fit in the cup holder but all 94-2004 Mustangs I have been in had lighters behind and right of the shifter. But thne again I am not looking at lighters most of the time.
Welcome by the way

Mine didn't have a lighter...just a 12v port with a plastic plug. My 2000 had the lighter, but the 03 does not. I think the only time you get the lighter is if you buy the "smokers package" which was like $15 extra in my 00 GT. I didn't want it, but it already had it in it. $15 for the little cup and a lighter.
