If you are talking about the black trim that goes along the outside of the quarter window, no you cannot change it without removing the window. It's all one piece. It's not actually weather stripping, but I assume that it is what you are talking about.

If they look bad and you want to replace them, you can either try painting them or shelling out the money.

Also that price is actually really cheap. The last time I looked at them, they were ~$600 for a pair, although these also still had the "Mustang" lettering. I'm guessing they used to be factory Ford parts and are now using reproductions.

Yup -- what paint did you end up using? Or was it just the SEM flexible bumper repair kit? SEM makes a nice trim paint, too.

Steeda also sells plastic mouldings that glue onto
your existing windows to cover up all that rubber.
The kit comes with adhesive to put them on. 5.O
Resto & others sell the kits.

Well, some people have no choice but to leave these cars outside...and remember, the newest fox is 13 years old...so just basic weather exposure will do it.

Sucks but it's a common problem...

Here's a place that sells SEM products:
SEM Products
The Flexible Polyester Glaze would probably work best. I haven't tried it but their other stuff is good.

I've seen people use Bondo's spot glaze putty before. I am not sure how it holds up -- maybe someone here who has used it knows.

Hope that helps!
