When i had my V6 and put on true duals I went with dynomax but they were really quiet. so a year later I put on some flowmaster 40 series mufflers and they were much louder but a little annoying on long trips on the freeway.
If I could do it all over again I'd probably try a magnaflow muffler or something else, because everybody seems to suggest Flowmaster. No matter which way you go, it will sound better then stock IMO.

I would go with Magnaflows. A nice flow through muffler that sounds very good and adds a little performance.

Well you'll definately want true duals. You can have any exhaust shop make one for you for about $200 and if you get some type of aftermarket mufflers expect to pay about $300+. BUT STAY AWAY FROM GLASSPACKS!!!! Go with either flowmasters, or magnaflow. Your other option is to find a set of GT take-off. Meaning, it's the h-pipe and tail pipes from a stock GT. They will bolt right up to your headers. You'll just have to pay for a little welding and viola, you have duals.

If you want to do it on a budget buy a GT take off cat back and have a shop adapt it to your car. If you like it leave it if you not replace the mufflers with another brand.

See sig! Seriously, if you're gonna go down the dual exhaust road, then do it right. Since it's pretty difficult locating GT takeoffs in good shape anymore, just find the sound you want from your system (Flowmasters or Magnaflows are very popular), then have a shop fab up the rest of the sytem for you. The only thing you may need to buy extra is the hanger kit for the passenger side piping (if the shop can't do this for you). If you don't plan on adding a lot of power mods like forced induction, then stay with a 2.25 diameter system. Most people experience significant torque loss at the low end by going with too large a system for a relatively stock engine. If you plan on going with power adders that will take your car over 300hp, then go with 2.5 diameter piping. Being an even firing engine, an h-pipe isn't needed, but many will tell you that it mellows or deepens the exhaust tone. Go with a true dual setup (not a y-pipe hook up system)... you'll be much happier knowing you have "true duals". And don't forget to find some nice tips for the 'bling' effect you want in the back.
