what aftermarket suspension kit do you have?
how much did it cost?
website?
i want to lower my car. i was told today that just putting springs would fuck up my shocks/struts after a little while b/c of the lower stance. so i am gonna save a little longer and upgrade that.
what are some of the best brands to go with?

well i just got the ford racing suspension kit (bullitt kit). i could have screwed something up, but so far it raised my car instead of lowering it. so yeah, idk about that one. $400 for new shocks/struts/springs/swaybars

I got the bullitt kit from rdmotorsport.com with the c springs. And along with that I bought midlength subframes and c/c plates.

i just installed EIbach prokit springs + steeda 4 bolt caster camber kit and the caster camber kit makes a world of difference I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Caster/camber kits with any drop, they make your ride that much more stable and much more funner around turns and what have you.
i previously had a 1.6/1.8 drop on my car w/o caster camber kit and it was a son of a ..... to drive, they wore my tires out it 8 months showing steel belts, they made it 2x harder to brake, they made every bump mess up your steering(have to fight the wheel turning left/right) i drove like that for a good 8 months and dreaded it on the freeways and especially the rain. thats with a severe drop 1.6 front/ 1.8 rear.
so best bet is to get a good set of caster camber kits NOT 3 BOLT, with any drop you do, plus it looks cool once installed(mine happen to be high polished chrome/steel)
eibach are name brand and ride for them is quite good, not too stiff not too boring. just right....
as far as the install of springs its not that difficult once you finish one side you know exactly what to do on the other.
difficulty rating probably about 3-4,
and yes im a non-experienced mechanic, but with the help of some friend/s its a breeze (also haynes or tech book for year/model helps as well)

Hey Kyle...I'm down for that...and if all else fails, we could talk to Marty for help. Or, were you planning on paying Cody for the install? I now have the complete repair manual for the 03 mustangs which I am sure hold true for 04s as well.

mm has great parts, I would definatly go to them. Your struts/shocks will be fine for a bit. If you want to just do springs and CC plates now and save up and do shocks/struts when its due for another alignment. That should fix you up.
I am going to be in Hoover alabama next month living I would be happy to help. I have have those springs installed pretty darn fast, its very easy.

I ran my stock shocks/struts 30k miles at least on C springs with no problem. How low are you going to go?

I would go with h&R sports with some bilsteins and mm cc plates. Or you can get a grip box from mm and really handle.

I used H&R supersports, the mach1 takeoff tokico shocks/struts, and MM 4 bolt CC plates
Springs were 230, shocks/struts were 179, c/c plates were 166

i got my problem sorted out with the bullitt kit. its a little less drop than the c springs like everyone has already said. i think its the best kit for the money (i guess it depends on how much you want to pay). i paid 400 shipped for mine with bullitt springs, not c springs. or you can get the one lowflyn bought for about 100 more. i got the one without c springs because it costs the same if i decide to buy them later. plus, im thinking i wont have to buy cc plates with my setup now.

you would have a harder time finding the bullitt springs by themselves. if you are only looking to get springs without all the other stuff (shocks/struts/swaybars), just go with c springs.
