I bought my headers just painted black, and after only 20 miles they were blistered and rusty, so I decided to take them down to metal and repaint them with 1200* paint. My mom wouldn't let me stick them in her oven, so I used a hair dryer to heat the paint as best I could. I really did this for fun since I think I want to get shorties or mid-length headers. The challenge to put them in and the clutch cables just aren't worth the unique look and sound.
The second picture is a before and and after comparison.
PS: exhaust pieces = excellent wall decorations

They do look like some good wall hangings. Might just have to pick up a used pair and re-finish them for the shop.

they look pretty awesome in the garage. just take them down to the metal, spray them with "polished aluminum" spray paint, and you're ready to decorate, lol. The finish looks identical to jet hot.

Yup...and I can hang my fried clutch and flywheel next to it. It can be my wall of fame and such.

LMFAO! It's funny cuz it's true.
Those headers look great man. Nice job with them.

wasnt that going to be kinda a given?

Man, you read my mind. I so want a garage, just so I can hang random car parts all over the walls. I swear I have some of the most random car parts ever. How about a piston from a 18 liter V8, a/c vents from a 92 chevy truck, etc etc.
