Wow...Cool site ya'll. Look forward to spending my free non-driving time catching up on the latest Mustang news. My 01 Sebring blew it's tranny and this Steve McQueen special was "THE ONLY" car out there that really lit my candle!! Back in the day I prowled the streets in a '69 "Chicken"....that's a Plymouth Roadrunner for you young bucks (I'm pushin' 53) but this new mustang has given me a blood transfusion....I'm a believer!! Test drove the GT
......WHOA!!! I woulda got in too much trouble with that rocket. This V-6 will catch third (yea I bought the 5 spd) and I felt better when I heard the old
5.0 only cranked out 15 more hp than mine (225 to my 210) When the warranty is up I'll be putting dual exhaust on that very day! Anywho nice meeting everyone. Drive Safe The Greaser

Thanks everyone for a warm welcome.....that's cool. In reference to exhaust changes not voiding the Mfg. new car warranty...technically that may be true. But "dark"... if you check out the article on page 130 of theJune '06 issue of "Mustangs & Fast Fords" magazine entitled "Your Mustang Warranty And The Law: A Conflict Of Self-Interest"...one poor Mustang owner was refused service on his air-conditioner because he installed an after-market
cold air induction unit. Guess it all depends on the honesty of your dealer but since reading threads at this way too cool site...I've learned dual exhaust on the V-6 may reduce much needed back-pressure...which may ultimately hurt performance in the low end torque. "I dunno" Just learning myself. Do think this car deserves duals though...'specially when I noticed a Fusion had 'em. Bad..bad...bad-you Ford engineers.

Welcome to the site.
I wouldn't worry about exhaust voiding your warranty. A CAI is different (especially on the 05+) because it changes the amount of air flow to the engine and could possibly cause it to run lean. By law, the dealership must prove that the modification in question caused some defect to occur before they can void your warranty. I can't remember the name of the law, but you should be able to find it with a little research.

doesnt matter what the law states they can screw you over and you will spend more time and more money than its worth to get everything worked out.... basically they can still bend you over.... you just have to be willing to go though hell if you dont like it.
I would just talk to the dealership.
