How difficult is it to install 4.10 gears and a t-lock on a v6 auto? is it an all day job? few hour job? or just better off bringing it all to a mechanic and letting them put it in?

The short answer is you can not install them correctly yourself else you would not be asking this question in the first place. A shop can generally install gears in a couple hours~ the fee however can range from 150-500 bucks depending on the place you go to and how bad they want to rap you. That being said pay the higher price IF the job is better (and only if) since its far better to pay to have it done right the first time than get it done cheap and have to pay to have it done over again. Get a warranty in writing to cover whinning and breakage and what not~

Just called an auto shop to get an estimate. He said $300 for labor, plus parts and I gotta take off the axle myself. It'll take up to a week. I don't think it's the right place, is it?

$300 to have it done on the car in a few hours would be more like it.

damn so all together looking at around 700 dollars, to get the parts and the install? 169 for t-lok, 189 for gears and pinions, 14 dollars for the lube stuff, and 89 dollars for the speedo fix, then 300 to install?

You might as well be willing to spend around 800 bucks total for the whole thing. Or upwards of 1000, depending on shops in your area. And you having to take the axle off and it taking a week, that's bs, go somewhere else.

Don't forget new carrier bearings for the T-lok, they run about $40 with races.

For 99+ speedos, manuals can get a speed-cal, autos have to get a chip or flasher to fix the speedo.
