I dont have a yes or no answer. I can not say no and I can not say yes. I do not have the faith to say yes and I have no proof to say no.

Proof of God is all in how you lok at your surroundings.
You either look at it as having taken billions of years to achieve the current level. Or you look at it has having been created this way with slight "adaptive" improvements that were built into our individual species.
Both have unanswered questions, but as for me, I find believing in a God gives ME more believable answers than not believing.

I believe in god... I see the blessings my families received and have just seen different crazy things happen like peoples cancer just suddenly disappearing and stuff of that sort. I figure it doesnt really take much out of me to be a "believer" and take the time out every day to reflect on stuff and where Im at, how I got there, etc. If nothing else, it gives a person hope that they'll see loved ones again that are lost. Thats my take on it. I dont press religion on anyone or get into any religious debates, I just kind of do it my own way and know what I beleive is what I believe.

but on the flip side of that just turn on the tv and look at how many people aren't as blessed as you. Like those in the Middle East. Especially the Children that CNN so quickly threw up on their homepage that were hurt badly in an attack by Israel.
You see good things happening, but on the flip side somewhere in this country a mother just lost their only son/daughter in a tragic event or someone somewhere is jumping off a bridge to end their life and hurting many people by doing so.

Really? If I am understanding you correctly then my sisters friends family is blessed that on their way home from church a drunk driver ran a stop sign and killed my sisters friend while serverely injuring her mother to the point of needing hand braces to walk now.... whom both were very strong christians.
Thats a blessing? She lost the love of her life whom was only 12 years old. If that's a blessing than you can keep um.

Everything happens for a reason. I could make the same argument...I was an innocent passenger in an accident that has forever changed my life and will lead to more problems in the future. You know what, I can already see what the wreck has done to help me, my faith became stronger through it, I've been able to help a few friends through similar situations and show that you can recover. Not to mention the fact the wreck showed me parts of my life that were extremely messed up.

Yet I can still argue the exact opposite. Some people go through problems in life like you and never recover their faith. Guess they just go to hell?
Nick (WhiteStang99) had a great quote in his aim profile for awhile. I will have to track him down since he doesnt have much time to get on the site lately and get that from him.

If they never "recovered their faith" as you put it, they had no real faith to begin with.

I guess... you can only take so much bullshit before you say fuck it Not everyone gets to drive Mustangs around and take a shower everday.
It's hard to put yourself in someones shoes that has to live everyday of their life knowing its not going to get better and that some drunk driver just took your baby girl from you.
I guess you can still believe in god and live for that... but God was the one that allowed you to go through so much pain. Which is complete bullshit to me.
On earth we kick peoples ass when they hurt us I guess God gets a free pass when he allows our family to be killed off.
I guess I just don't see it your way and I respect everyones beliefs I just can't see it myself.

Exactly how I feel. I used to be totally against the idea, but certain things came up and now I really am confused.

But yes, I see where you're coming from too. I went through a time when I tried to figure out why God would allow me to go through the pain and such I have endured b/c of this wreck. Still don't have it all figured out, but I have faith it happened to make me a stronger person and to help other ppl going through similar situations. It was just too weird to have a friend have a car wreck where he had to have plates and screws put in his back not 5 months after I had gotten out of the hospital. I helped him through the rehab and the other problems I went through and made it all easier on him.

heres my deal, i believe with all my heart that he exists and he sent his son to die for me on the cross.
heres my problem, as whoever it was that said i have a problem with modern religion, it has become so distorted through the 2000 years since the "bible" waas written. because the modern bible doesn't contain all the original writings of the bible.
let me just say this, heres what happened to me, and i havn't told anyone this, but a few years ago i was having some SERIOUS problems in my life(family, school, work, girls) and it all hit my all at once, and i can honestly say that i had seriosly considered killing myself. one day i just fell to my knees and talked to God, and as corny as this sounds i felt instantly relieved and ever since then i have been better and counted my blessings more and more each day.
Matthew 10:33 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."

Nope. I dont have the ability to believe that one all powerful being controls and created the universe. to me, its about as far fetched as The Matrix or something. i believe in myself and thats all i need.
though i would never knock anybody for their beliefs, cause we all need something to believe in.

I dont go to church like i should I am a christian, my Girlfriend is not. (she is a Catholic) We have or views with somethings in this world. "I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have." - Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
"Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right."
- Henry Ford (1863-1947) thats how this world is. God gave you life, the warmth of your blood yet he gave you something that you are incontrol of, your brain. U make your life how u want it to work to a point, if its not going with the plan that God has made for you then he will find ways for you to make it right. if everyone was the same then there would be no life. there would not be cars, tv's anything. no one would have to think, build, teach anything. Brent as far as the middle east, IMO they are using the "in gods name we blow this up" well they are talkin about the wrong God and the true right God is making them pay for that. just IMO

I believe in God
So does Satan and all of his demons, doesn't mean that he will be going to heaven

The world is f'd up because of the sin that was introduced when Adam/Eve disobeyed God. Ever since then it has been in a downward spiral as people go further and further from God.
The bad things that happen are a function of our overal disobedience. God still uses the bad things that happen for his good in the end though.

You make a good point, even satanists believe in God. It isn't just the belief in God, or the fact Jesus died on the cross. It's the acceptance of Jesus as the savior of the world and knowing that but through him, there is no other way to heaven.
